Welcome to the Travel Program section of our website. Our Travel program consists of about 30 boys and girls teams competing within the U9 thru U19 age divisions for 2004-2005. Our girls teams compete in the Illinois Women's Soccer League (IWSL), and our boys teams compete in both the Young Sportsmen's Soccer League (YSSL) and the Northern Illinois Soccer League (NISL).
Teams in our Travel program are coached by USSF and NSCAA licensed coaches who have collegiate and, in some cases, professional playing experience. Our program's primary focus is on player development cultivated in a competitive, team-oriented, fun environment. Technical proficiency is the foundation of the curriculum taught to players at the younger ages so they're able to thrive in the sport at a competitive level. As players grow and mature, technical skills are continually refined; however, the concentration gradually shifts to the more tactical aspects of the game. In addition, Palatine Celtic also strives to achieve an atmosphere which promotes and nurtures leadership skills, sportsmanship, and a general love for the beautiful game.
